At Dine On Steak, we consider ourselves "Collectibles Consultants".  We specialize in identifying and maximizing the value of trading cards and sports memorabilia. While our services are tailored to each client's need, there are two situations we are approached with most frequently:
 

1) Providing guidance to collectors who have been away from the hobby:

Things change a lot in the world of sports cards and memorabilia. Those who established their card collections in or before the mid-1990s, for example, will find a lot has changed in the way products are made and effectively sold today. We help you determine what holds value in the modern era, provide guidance on grading/authentication and make recommendations as to the best outlets to sell based on the particular item(s).

2) Aiding people who have come into or inherited a rare card or collection:

Estate sales, inheritances, even donations – it isn’t unusual for valuable card or piece of memorabilia to come to somebody unfamiliar with the hobby who just want to understand what their item is worth and the best way to preserve or sell it. We will research your item or collection piece by piece and present you with the best options.  

Our President, Ryan, thought it was a funny user name when he was setting up his eBay account 20 years ago and it stuck. He also likes steak. 

Easier? Yes. Better? That’s a different story. Unfortunately, there are a lot of vendors and shops out there who will take advantage of sellers, often offering them pennies on the dollar for their collectibles. At Dine On Steak, we’re not trying to buy your merchandise to resell it for a profit, we’re trying to help you maximize the value of what you’ve got! 

In the modern world where buying online has become the norm, getting cards graded has become very common. The grading process assures the authenticity of the card and takes the guess work out of trying to figure out the condition of a card you can’t touch and feel (though you should be careful how you do this anyway!). There are a lot of grading companies out there but they’re not all created equal. Part of the service we offer is reviewing your card or collection and making recommendations as to which company is right for you. We can even do a physical inspection of the card and facilitate the grading process!
